Virginia M.T. Eubanks, M.D.

Dr. Eubanks is a native Texan. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.  During her undergraduate years, she studied abroad in both Germany and France.

She received her M.D. from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston; she completed her residency in psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas. Also, she completed her training in psychoanalysis at the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Institute, where she graduated in 1983.

Upon completion of her residency training, she remained on the full-time faculty at Baylor College of Medicine for three years. Following that, Dr. Eubanks began a full-time, private practice of psychiatry in Houston that she continued until she and her husband moved to Austin in 1995. Since then, she has lived and worked happily in Austin, with no plans to relocate.

Her practice of adult psychiatry includes, but is not limited to the treatment of depression, anxiety, and workplace, academic, or family stress, including post-traumatic stress syndromes.

Over the years of her practice, she has belonged to numerous professional groups, including the American Psychiatric Association, the American Psychoanalytic Association, the Harris County Medical Society, the Houston-Galveston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute, and the Texas Society for Psychiatric Physicians.
